Name： The NET Tuck shop Takeover

Target： P.1-6

Goal： To provide an authentic, high-frequency real-life environment where all students autonomously apply spoken English and practice positive, responsible decision-making during daily school life.

Implementation：

1. The Marketplace Setup: On designated days, NET and NTAs manage the tuck shop service alongside official staff, using a visual English menu overlay for standard snacks.

2. Fish balls / Siu Mai (Or other more popular snacks) are provided only in The Net Tuck Shop. Students practice autonomy by using visual cues to order their snacks using targeted polite request structures and expressions of gratitude directly to the NETs.

Name： Teaching with AI: Level Up Your Learning!

Target：P.4-6

Goal： Transform traditional English learning into an interactive, future-ready experience through the use of AI in teaching.

Name： The World is Our Classroom!

Goal：Students at each level will take ownership of their growth through meaningful, self-directed learning (SDL) activities conducted in English that anchor language application in the core virtue of Filial Piety. These activities empower students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios, transforming abstract traditional values into actionable gestures of family gratitude, independence, and critical thinking. For P.1 to P.5, these activities will be held on two designated afternoons. As for P.6, it will be an outing.

Implementation：

P.1 - P.2 Little Manners Academy Through English-guided scenarios, students have a chance to practice social etiquette, kindness and respect. Then students will execute this virtue in real-time by actively serving the parent volunteers and teachers before enjoying the snack themselves.

P.3 - Food making

To practice filial piety through acts of service, students will learn how to prepare these snacks as a surprise for their parents.

P.4 - Puppetry Theatre

Using hand puppets, student groups will independently adapt and script a puppet show based on Chapter 4 in Book 4A, re-writing the plot to highlight a theme of family love, gratitude, or helping parents.

P.5 Food making/invention

Students will work in teams to either follow an English recipe card to prepare a nutritious dish, or design a "smart home" creative invention using everyday materials to assist elders with daily tasks. Students will take full ownership of the design process, applying their English skills to explain how their creation promotes the health, safety, or convenience of their parents and grandparents as a practical act of filial care.

P.6 – A visit to Ocean Park- Life-planning

During this immersive outdoor excursion, students will investigate various career duties firsthand. Following the exploration, students will complete a reflection worksheet where they state their ambitions and express their deep gratitude for their dedication to their upbringing

Name： Book Character Day [Collaborated with Library]

Goal： To foster a love for reading and make reading a habit.

Target：P.1-6

Implementation： Book Character Day will take place on 23/4 (World Book Day). Two weeks prior to the day, P.2–3 Storytellers and English Gurus will host book sharing sessions in the library, with extended activities with parent volunteers held on the following days. On Book Character Day, different activities will be carried out to boost students’ interests in reading and students can dress up as their favourite characters.

Name: Hands-On Heritage

Implementation: 4 activities will be carried out across the year. Students will carry out the activities during lunch recess.

• Lion Dance Workshop (Traditional Dance)

Students will learn the cultural significance of the Lion Dance in bringing good luck and longevity. Teachers and Lion Dance Team will demonstrate how to do lion dancing. For the home mission, students will take the mini-lion home, present it to their parents or grandparents, and deliver their spoken wishes of good health to them.

• Fingerprint Ink Experience (Traditional Chinese Painting)

Students will be shown how to use traditional Chinese ink pad techniques to stamp their unique fingerprints onto a blank card cover, shaping the prints into flowers or leaves. They will then draft and write a personalized English message of deep gratitude inside the card, and give it to their parents.

• Snack Time (Traditional Chinese Pastry Making Technique)

Setting up a shared space with parent volunteers, teachers will guide students through the etiquette of sharing and eating with elders. Before eating, students will be explicitly taught the traditional etiquette of honoring elders by serving them first.

They will then students will execute this virtue in real-time by actively serving the parent volunteers and teachers before enjoying the snack themselves.

• Calligraphy (Chinese calligraphy)

Students will focus on characters related to family harmony and virtue (such as 家 - Family, 福 - Blessing, or 孝 - Filial Piety). This act symbolizes the preservation of family values and the formal expression of honor toward one's parents and ancestors.
