Our school aims at nurturing love and joy in learning, so that students can be intrinsically motivated and enjoy their learning at school. Through participating in a wide range of activities, students are exposed to an English-rich environment outside the classroom, and they are encouraged to learn English in a fun and interactive way.
English Fun Fair
In order to offer opportunities for students to make use of different learning strategies and to show appreciation to others, English Fun Fair is held. P.6 students make game booths for P.1-5 students during English lessons using the target learning strategies: mind mapping, thinking skills, both sides thinking, timeline, other people’s point of view. They design, make and host the game booth at the English Fun Fair. P.1-5 students, on the other hand, are asked to write a thank-you card or letter to appreciate the P.6 helps or draw a poster to promote this event.

It’s another year of dressing up in PLKTKP! Students and teachers, all dressed in glitzy costumes, had such a fabulous time that day! However, our little vampires, ghosts and witches do more than just trick-or-treating this year. They had a taste of science experiment, themed in Halloween and carried out in English in class. Students were able to observe the size of balloons changed when gas was released during the chemical reaction. They were extremely motivated. Also, a catwalk show was held and catered for all students, and prizes were given to students who had amazing outfits and engaging performance in the show. Students had a whale of a time! It was great to see such a fun and festive atmosphere at TKP!
|Scoop in PLKTKP
In order to provide a real-life environment for students to use English, our student reporters interviewed students from time to time and encourage them to speak in English. Students are asked about the their daily life at school, and they are highly encouraged to answer with creativity. Scoop does not only boost students-and-students reaction, but also inspire their creative ideas. Let's take a look of students' thoughts about being a principal for a day, re-opening of the school tuck shop and travelling around the world during summer holidays.
